Castle Room Eduard Petzold

Immerse yourself in the world of Eduard Petzold (1815–1891), one of the most significant German landscape designers of the 19th century. As a student of the famous Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau, Petzold significantly influenced the landscape architecture of Europe. His career began in the Muskau Park, where he worked as a park inspector from 1852 to 1872, further developing Pückler's visions. Petzold's work extended across numerous regions, including Silesia, Thuringia, Saxony, and even into the Netherlands, Poland, Bulgaria, and Turkey. In total, he designed 174 parks and gardens, always integrating the natural surroundings harmoniously into his designs.
